Bummed

Had two funerals today and will have two funerals tomorrow.  One of today’s was a baby.  Baby funerals are my kryptonite.  I just feel really sad.

The funeral directors are beginning to get a lot more people who have died from COVID-19.  It’s far from over.  I just hope that people will remain sensible and stay home as they are supposed to.  If we go out too early, we could escalate the number of people dying from this.

At the same time, I know that we are doing a balancing act because we cannot keep people in too long and destroy the economy and people’s livelihoods.  This is a sad time in our lives, that’s for sure; but, I also believe that better days are coming.

Hang in there, everyone!

  1. I worry about my remaining son, Kevin, who is ,as you already know, a funeral director. He told me today that he has 3 deaths by the virus, and a funeral was about to take place with 15 people (too many) already there. Kevin doesn’t want to give the virus to me, as I am one of those “at risk”. I would certainly want to deal with the virus rather than Kevin or one of my daughters. But God has His own plans, doesn’t He. Please be careful, Father.

    1. I’m trying to be as careful as I can be. Any of us can get it at any time. I hope and pray that you remain well. Believe me, I’m keeping Kevin in my prayers as well as all of those who deal with COVID-19 people, living or deceased. Their health is in constant jeopardy yet they continuing putting themselves out for us.
