Well, It’s Over

You could say that I’ve got one more day of retreat but, for all practical purposes, today was the last day.  It was the last full day, at least.  Tomorrow, we’ll go to morning Mass and then come to the retreat house for breakfast.  Afterwards, it’s packing up the car and hitting the road for the return home.

Check out time is 11:00 a.m. but that is too late.  In order to hit the pocket of traffic that is still flowing well upstate, we need to leave by 9:30 or 10:00 a.m.

It’s been a good week away.  I’m always glad to be able to come down here for retreat.  And, as usual, I am leaving with much to consider.  When you make time for God to speak to you, by golly, He does!

Here’s one of the reasons that I really like the chapel at the retreat house.  It gives a great view of Abbey Church.
