I didn’t sleep very well last night. It always happens the first night somewhere else. Additionally, I’m a light sleeper and the thunderstorms kept me up as they came and went.
When I finally got out of bed at 6:45 a.m., it was still dark and rainy. It was dark for most of the morning. But then, in the afternoon, boom:
Lights on, ground dried, skies beautiful blue, and all was right with the world. 🙂
Fr. Brian and I went out to Jasper for dinner. We ate at the Schnitzelbank. It’s a great restaurant. We go to it every year that we are here at least one evening.
It’s been a groggy kind of day filled with rest, reading, and even a nap. Tonight, I’m tired and plan on going to bed early so that I can make it awake to the Mass at 7:30 a.m.
Praying for all my parishioners, friends, and the world while on retreat. I hope my prayers help you.
