One of the things that I like about going on a private retreat with Fr. Brian is what I like about going on vacation with him after New Years each year as well. We leave each other do our own thing during the day and then we meet up and go out for dinner at the end of the day. That provides us some great fellowship for a meal but also provides us the private space we need for retreat since, after all, every person prayers and reflects in his or her own way.
Tonight, we went to one of our favorite places for dinner: the Overlook in Leavenworth, Indiana. This was the view from our dinner table:
It’s really nice and peaceful there and every so often we get an added bonus when a barge or a riverboat goes up or down the river. The meals are always wonderful as well. They’re quite substantial and not very expensive. I’d say about the price of a low moderate restaurant.
It was a perfect end to a beautiful day. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for me tomorrow.
