2026 Transatlantic Cruise – Day Five

We were in Cadiz today on our last port stop before beginning the transatlantic crossing.  Cadiz is a wonderful place.  Many of it’s inner “streets” are narrow and open only to pedestrian traffic which makes getting through it easy.  I went on a tour of Cadiz on a hop-on hop-off bus.  The circuit of Cadiz took about an hour and fifteen minutes.  They gave earphones that you could plug into a jack at each seat of the bus and select the language you wanted to hear.  The explanations were well-paced and very thorough.  This was the best hop-on hop-off experience I ever had.

And there’s our lovely lady waiting for us as we returned from our tour of Cadiz.

After dinner, I came back to my stateroom and found that my crystal block had been delivered.  A Crown & Anchor crystal block is a commemorative award presented to members onboard during the sailing in which they reach a Crown & Anchor loyalty milestone. Crystal blocks are awarded when members reach 140, 210, 280, and 350 Cruise Points, and again for every additional 70 points earned after that. I’ve earned 350 points on board Harmony of the Seas on this transatlantic crossing.

We didn’t have any special show after dinner so I took the time to sit on my balcony drinking Cherry Coke Zero, reading from my Kindle, and enjoying the sounds of the water and the breeze.  It was wonderful.

Now, I’m bushed.  It’s been a great day with a lot of outdoors things that can tire one out.  It sure tired me out.  🙂

g’night
